JOHN A. RANGEL – Writer, Producer, Director

John A. Rangel earned an MFA in Film Production from Chapman University (Orange, CA) in May of 2003.  While there he completed a number of short films and videos, including Finding Yourself in L.A. (2000), an Official Selection of the 2001 New York Independent Film Festival.  His graduate thesis short film An Assignment was an official selection of a number of film festivals and won numerous awards, including “Best of Chicago” at the 2003 Chicago International Film Festival and “Best Short Film” at both the 2004 New York Latino International Film Festival, and the 2004 Imagen Awards.  The film also aired on the Showtime and SiTV cable networks. John wrote and directed his first feature film “south loop” under the Parkside Films banner with completion scheduled for 2010.  John is also an Associate Professor in the Motion Picture/Television Department at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.

NJ NASEER – Writer, Producer
NJ Naseer earned a B.B.A. in Finance and a B.A. in Communication Arts with a concentration in Journalism from Benedictine University in May of 2007. She has directed and assistant directed five narrative short films. Her previous work experience includes shooting and editing an assortment of videos for Chicago’s WKQX-FM Q101.1 and WLUP-FM 97.9 The Loop for station concerts, promotional events, celebrity interviews and in-studio music performances. She worked in a production capacity in Parkside’s debut narrative feature film, “South Loop.”
